Abstract
The current study examines the factorial structure of a modified version of the Math Anxiety Questionnaire (Wigfield & Meece, 1988). We conducted an exploratory factor analysis on a 5th-grade Romanian sample and found support for a three-factor structure. A Math test and evaluation factor added to the original two-factor structure of worry and negative affect. Results are discussed in the light of possible implications for Math anxiety assessment and intervention in Romanian students.
